Top Quality Firepit Renovation, Performed in Granbury, TX
May 29, 2025

We began by meticulously excavating approximately six cubic yards of overgrown grass and nutrient-rich topsoil, employing precision grading and advanced site preparation techniques to create a level, well-aerated sub-base for our developing landscape. In the process of clearing the designated area, our diligent crew unearthed a long-forgotten tree stump that had been deeply embedded in the earth. With careful precision and using industry-standard stump removal tools, we expertly extracted the encroaching stump, ensuring that no remnants were left to hinder future turf installation or encourage unwanted regrowth. Once this natural obstacle was successfully removed, we proceeded to install a premium, woven landscape fabric—renowned as a top-tier weed barrier for its moisture-retentive and drainage-promoting properties—laying the groundwork for a resilient and thriving outdoor space. Following the fabric installation, we applied a generous layer of high-quality decomposed granite known for its superior compaction and aesthetic value, thereby creating a robust platform for a 48-inch steel pit designed to securely contain fire logs during outdoor gatherings. The decomposed granite was subsequently artfully arranged in a visually appealing half-moon pattern around the fire pit, with a complementary extension along the adjacent fence line to seamlessly unify the space. To crown our comprehensive landscape transformation, we meticulously laid down 1300 square feet of vibrant St. Augustine sod—a premium turf variety prized for its durability and lush appearance—thereby effectively covering any bald patches at the rear of the property and achieving an immaculate, sustainable lawn that exudes top-tier curb appeal and long-term maintenance excellence.
